7. iStart German is much recommended for beginners in the German language. The app’s content is presented in a form that looks a lot like a chat and taught by two German native speakers and a moderator hailing from England. Each lesson is given in both text and audio form and supplemented with visuals.

Wie geht’s German is a nice app to learn basic German phrases. Its main goal is to teach learners basic phrases for all kinds of daily situations.
